Our Mission

Empowering Southeast Utah by providing the guidance, tools, and funding connections necessary to develop practical housing solutions for all residents.

Testimonials

“Shifting our focus from isolated projects to regional coordination allows us to redefine housing in Southeast Utah, turning separate tasks into a unified foundation of stability and mutual trust. By operating as a collective hub, we foster a resilient region where secure and available housing becomes a shared success.” - Chris Allred, Community Impact Director, SERDA

“The communities of Southeastern Utah including Grand, Emery, Carbon and San Juan are closely connected in many aspects of rural life. There are employees who travel between all of the counties for work. Residents understand traveling for work, shopping, recreation, etc. A collaborative effort between these counties will lead to many more opportunities for housing for local residents. More housing for locals will lead to less time on the road and more opportunities for businesses to locate in these areas because their employees will have places to live. Working together regionally benefits all involved.”  - Patsy Stoddard, Director Emery County Business Chamber

"As a San Juan County Commissioner, I've come to realize that housing is a regional challenge, not just a county issue. The people who live and work in southeastern Utah cross county lines every day, so it only makes sense that we work together to find solutions.

By collaborating as a four-county region, we can share ideas, pursue funding opportunities, and make better use of our resources while still respecting each community's unique needs and local decision-making. When one community succeeds, it strengthens the entire region.

I believe our greatest progress comes through partnership, communication, and a shared commitment to creating housing opportunities that benefit all of southeastern Utah. Una has been able to do just that with her efforts in being able to identify, collaborate and create a working model or housing "tool box" for our region.  This has simply provided a better chance of meeting the needs of our residents today and in the future" -  Commissioner Lori Maughan

Regional Housing Dashboard

The four counties in Southeast Utah: Grand, Emery, Carbon and San Juan, are exceptionally beautiful and vast, with a large influx of tourists, but not a lot of capacity for development and housing.

Grand County and Moab, have a newly created housing dashboard in play, which may be helpful in your housing search. The other 3 counties are looking to create something similar.
